The story is centred around the Algiers Motel incident, which occurred in Detroit, Michigan on July 25, 1967, during the racially charged 12th Street Riot. It involves the death of three black men and the brutal beatings of nine other people: seven black men and two white women.

Long drawn out retread of some dodgy and quite possibly untrue
incidents during the Detroit riots. They even had to put in a
disclaimer at the end that not all that was portrayed in the movie was
true - so why bother?
There just was not enough of an interesting story to make this into a
movie but as another user suggested it was probably the Lefty director
Bigelows attempt at trying to grab herself another Oscar with another
leftist, BLM pandering w@nkfest!
Bored me and my brother to tears as nothing really interesting happens
, the guy who kept singing was utterly awful and made us cringe - as
for the end sequence lol I still haven't stopped laughing. If it was
supposed to give support to the BLM crowd , well it didn't , it
actually made black people look pretty bad in destroying their own town
and stabbing each other in the back - Well done Kathryn you
assassinated the black myth of it all being the white mans fault!
No story , no plot , awful music , boring and far too long for a movie
I was aching for the end but due to my OCD had to watch it to the end -
Damn Ocd LOL
Save yourself the effort and avoid this one its almost as bad as "The
Bad Batch" - another pretentious arty farty directors attempt to wow
the so called movie intellegentsia audience and grab an Oscar.
