‘The Good Doctor’ Is Now Bigger Than ‘NCIS’ and ‘This Is Us,’ By a Hair — Ratings Watch

22 hours ago | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

The Nielsen “Doctor” is in. After three weeks of the new season, the ABC drama “The Good Doctor” appears to be a bonafide hit for the network.

According to the latest Nielsen data covering three days’ worth of time-shifting (including DVR and video on demand viewing), “The Good Doctor” is averaging 16.42 million viewers — making it not just TV’s most-watched new drama, but TV’s most-watched drama, period. That’s because after three weeks, “The Good Doctor” is just a smidge above CBS’ perennial powerhouse “NCIS” (16.35 million) and NBC’s emotional juggernaut “This Is Us” (16.19 million).

The show, starring Freddie Highmore as a high-functioning autistic physician, is also the fall’s No. 1 freshman drama and top-rated 10 p.m. series among Adults 18-49 (3.7 rating).

Pinball FX3 Review

19 October 2017 6:00 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

As someone who squandered a fair amount of his misspent youth dropping quarter after quarter into various pinball machines housed inside sketchy arcades across the United States, I’ve always appreciated Zen Studio’s deliriously enjoyable Pinball FX series. I’ve sunk countless hours into FX 2 over the years, usually after a long day at work when I just needed some time to unwind. While some might view pinball as an archaic form of entertainment — especially in the complicated realm of modern video games — I’ve always enjoyed the thrill of attempting to obliterate my high score on a table I thought I’d already mastered. Long story short: Pinball FX 2 embodied everything I wanted in a video game version of pinball, at least, until Zen Studio decided to unleash a follow-up.

The newest iteration of the long-running series introduces elements I never knew I’d always wanted. For example, »

Rick and Morty creators give fans a chance to record commentaries with them

18 October 2017 1:53 PM, PDT | JoBlo.com | See recent JoBlo news »

I really loved season 3 of Rick And Morty. And while it's been well-received, I still don't understand those who vehemently hate it (unless they just got really sick of the Pickle Rick memes). Now, I'll admit I don't know if this season had any of my favorite ever episodes in it, but it also didn't have the lulls season 2 had, like the... Read More »

Channing Tatum Pulls Sexual Abuse Movie, Cutting Ties With Weinstein Company

18 October 2017 1:17 PM, PDT | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

In the latest fallout from the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault scandal, Channing Tatum is ditching his film adaptation of “Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock” at the Weinstein Company.

The actor and producer announced Wednesday in a statement with producing partner Reid Carolin that they are halting development on the adaptation of Matthew Quick’s 2013 novel — which focuses on a teenager who plans to kill his best friend and then himself following experiences of sexual abuse. The pic would have marked their co-directorial debut. Tatum also said he’s cutting ties with TWC, which has fired Weinstein and kicked him off its board in the wake of the far-reaching controversy.

Tatum posted the statement on his social media pages. He credited the women who have stepped forward since the scandal erupted on Oct. 5 following the publication of an explosive New York Times story.

Rick and Morty just wrapped its best season yet, and the third season Blu-ray/DVD will be on its way sometime in the near future. Co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon make for an entertaining pair, and now you have the chance to join them on a commentary track. They’ve joined up with Omaze to offer fans a chance to join Roiland and Harmon on a commentary track. Considering some of the losers in the Rick and Morty fanbase, that’s a risky proposition, so hopefully the winner will be at least moderately sane and not someone … »

Society is now officially on the brink of being doomed if this is the kind of thing that can happen. I wanted so badly to believe that this was a hoax and that part of my mind that hasn’t gone completely nuts, it’s a small part, still wants to hold out hope that it was nothing but a gag and someone will jump out yelling Haha sometime soon. But so far it hasn’t happened so here I am writing about how a woman managed to grade a packed of Szechuan sauce from McDonald’s for a car. Yes, a Car. I

The Sitcom “Mom” Did a Nice Shout Out to Rick and Morty

Is the beginning of the end for sitcoms? Mom is actually giving a shout out to the show in a way that might be pretty funny but is still making me wish that Rick and Morty was just a fictional thing that didn’t really exist. Of course you can bet that even if it didn’t, plugs like this would make it possible for someone to get up the idea that a cartoon like this brainless piece of, anyway, did actually exist. I won’t argue the fact that people are enamored of Rick and Morty, nor even the veracity of their

‘Game of Thrones’ On-Demand Viewership Dominance Is Finally Broken, By ‘This Is Us’ — Ratings Watch

Game of Thrones” has remained a powerful force in on-demand viewership, weeks and months after Season 7 ended. But streaks are meant to be broken: According to the most recent weekly report from Xfinity, NBC’s “This Is Us” has taken over as the new most-viewed on-demand series on the service.

Viewers can’t get enough of “Thrones,” which had been the No. 1 show on Xfinity On Demand every week since May 22 — essentially, since the end of the regular TV season. But now that fall TV is officially underway, it’s probably no surprise that audiences are now looking to catch up with the Pearsons of “This Is Us.”

Users are also sampling new series on demand including ABC’s “The Good Doctor,” HBO’s “The Deuce,” Fox’s “The Orville,” and ABC’s “Marvel’s Inhumans.”

When Fandom Goes Wrong: Destructive ‘Rick and Morty’ and ‘Breaking Bad’ Fans Must Relocate Their Chill

13 October 2017 6:30 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

For years, Vince Gilligan has had a simple message for fans of “Breaking Bad”: Please stop throwing pizzas on Walter White’s roof.

Unfortunately, fans have refused to listen to the show’s creator when playing tourist in Albuquerque, visiting key locations like the suburban house used as an exterior for the White family home. Instead, they’ve chosen to pay tribute to the Season 3 episode “Caballo Sin Nombre,” when a frustrated Walter (Bryan Cranston), attempting to make peace with his estranged family, tosses the large pizza he’s brought for dinner on the roof before storming off.

The “Breaking Bad” diehards are bringing their own pizzas to the house and hurling them up, much to the chagrin of current home owner Joanne Quintana. The Albuquerque resident is currently building a six-foot-high metal fence to keep fans out and keep her home safe. “We don’t want to gate ourselves in, »

‘Rick and Morty’ Porn Parody ‘Dick and Morty’ Is Rick’s Weirdest Alternate Dimension — Watch

12 October 2017 1:08 PM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Rule 34 of the internet states that if you can think of it, there’s porn of it. With all the fervid fandom surrounding “Rick and Morty,” it was only a matter of time before some zany pervert concocted a porn parody of Adult Swim’s popular sci-fi comedy. “Dick and Morty” is produced by Wood Rocket, a production company that specializes in media savvy parodies. Other Wood Rocket titles include “Doctor Whore,” “Ten Inch Mutant Ninja Turtles,” and “Fap to the Future.”

In the trailer (if we can call it that), Rick’s blue/grey hair has been replaced with a ratty turquoise mop, and Morty is played by an adult woman in a shiny wig. With its jokes about meth rocks and a vibrator meant to resemble “Pickle Dick,” the parody clearly lacks the razor sharp humor of “Rick and Morty.” Still, no one can say “Dick and Morty »
