Trivia

Philip K. Dick not only featured the ancient Chinese oracle, the I-Ching, in the book, he consulted it himself during the writing to determine plot direction. One of the characters, Mr. Baynes, borrows his name from the translator of the I-Ching version that Dick used, the Wilhelm-Baynes edition. See more »

Goofs

The post-occupation state refers to itself in all series officially as Great Nazi Reich. In reality Germany of Hitler era never used "Nazi" as an official or unofficial name, because "Nazi" is a pejorative term used by Hitler's opponents. "Nazi" is a short form of name "Ignaz" and is a synonym of "redneck", "village idiot", "low brow". The Hitler party called itself "National Socialist party", and the state was commonly referred to as "German Reich" ("Reich" = "realm", "rule", "empire"). See more »

Quotes

Joe Blake: [noticing ashes falling like snowflakes] What is that?
Nazi Police Officer: Oh, that's the hospital.
Joe Blake: The hospital?
Nazi Police Officer: Yeah, Tuesdays, they burn cripples, the terminally ill. Drag on the state.

Excellent - it's far the most promising pilot of all pitched for 2015
16 January 2015 | by (Brooklyn, NY) – See all my reviews

I'm a big PKD as well as Ridley Scott fan so I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it on my Prime home page... and the pilot has vastly exceeded my expectations! It is visually impeccable, great cinematography and CG and art direction, script is pretty close to the original book, excellent pacing, very good acting... characters at this point are not too deep but this is a one-hour pilot, it supposed to tease us, not reveal everything, let alone (correctly) focusing on story development right now, not character development (which inherently requires a few episodes.) Excellent job, this MUST be continued, Amazon! =)
