Minister for Social Affairs Cliff Lawton is about to be sacked if the press is to be believed. Conniving political advisor Malcolm Tucker comes up with a solution. He must resign before he is fired and thus seem to be doing the decent thing. Cliff's replacement is Hugh Abbot, well-meaning and anxious to instigate his Snooper Force, issuing honest press releases irrespective of government directives. Policy advisors Ollie and Glenn are called in to make a compromise. Tucker is horrified and has his own response. Written by

Did You Know?
The ministerial car is a Rover 75 Vanden Plas, a rare long wheelbase version which is 20cm longer than the standard saloon. See more
In the car scenes, a Rover 75 is used for the exterior shots (and also one interior insert shot of the driver) and a stretched Volvo 960 is used for the interior shots. The Volvo has a much boxier shape so it's obvious by the rear doors and roofline it's not the same car as the one in the outside shots. See more
Its the bollocks of the jungle out there. They're like wolves, pissed wolves!
