This Zane Grey Theater episode tells the story of three outlaws, Sheb Woolley, Dick Killian, and Walter Brennan on the run from a bank robbery where a child was killed caught in crossfire. But they have more than a posse to worry about. They've stumbled into Comanche territory. And the Comanches are in no hurry, they're like cats toying with a mouse.
A fourth man has joined them, young Ben Cooper whose on a mission, looking for a long lost father. I think you have an idea where this one is going.
Half hour teleplays like those done on Zane Grey Theater stories have a big responsibility to get as much said as they can with little time for character development. Working with minimal dialog both Brennan and Cooper get a lot characterization in per word.
You want to see a reason why Walter Brennan won three Oscars in his career, look at this Zane Grey Theater story.
