Widower Sheriff Andy Taylor, and his son Opie, live with Andy's Aunt Bee in Mayberry, North Carolina. With virtually no crimes to solve, most of Andy's time is spent philosophizing and calming down his cousin Deputy Barney Fife.
The marriage of architect Mike Brady and homemaker Carol Martin née Tyler will be the second for both. They have the issue of blending their two already large families, Mike who has three children and Carol who has three children. One additional issue is that the Brady household was testosterone laden with Mike's children being three boys - Greg, Peter and Bobby - and the Martin household was estrogen laden with Carol's children being three girls - Marcia, Jan and Cindy. The six children not only have their usual issues in growing from children to teenagers, and in this situation in getting used to a new parent and new siblings, but also interacting with new siblings whose mentality generally reflects their specific gender, which more often than not is totally foreign to them. Mike and Carol also have the new roles of parent to daughters and sons respectively. Add to the mix the girls' cat Fluffy, the boys' dog Tiger, and Mike's longtime housekeeper Alice, and the collective new Brady... Written by
Eve Plumb starred as two girls with a fatal disease who wind up dying in her career. Before she was on the Brady Bunch she played Eve, a friend of Buffy's, on A Family Affair, in the Christmas Came a Little Early episode. Eve is a girl with a terminal illness who winds up dying by the end of the episode. Later, years after the Brady Bunch wrapped, Eve would play Beth March in the 1978 TV movie version of Little Women. Beth March also dies during the course of the story. See more »
The exterior of the home is shown as a ranch style, possibly a split-level, but clearly not enough height to accommodate a second storey. Yet interior shots show the main level as only a couple steps down from ground level and a full storey up from there, and even an attic up from there. The exterior and interior are severely inconsistent. See more »
I looooooolve The Brady Bunch! Say what you will about them, they still rule! On a personal note, I'm in love with Mike Brady. I want to be miraculously transported into one of the earlier episodes (when Mike's hair is still straight) and steal him away from Carol. Not only are they THE most perfect family, but Mr. Brady is the perfect father, husband, man. He's charming and can solve a difficult and complicated problem by saying a just a few words to the kids. He never gets mad, and even though they live in the seventies, he doesn't have one sexist bone is his body. He's simply wonderful. Even though Greg is closest to my age, I want to marry his father. The Brady Bunch rules, and Mike Brady is da man!
