Five Questions We Still Have About Terminator 2: Judgement Day
A lot of times we watch movies just to entertain ourselves. We don’t want to think and we don’t want to be bogged down by too much information. That’s a part of why cheesy action films make us so happy because they’re almost all action and no real thought. Terminator 2: Judgment Day was not quite this way however. You had to at least use a little bit of brainpower to navigate the slightly twisting byways of the plot, but it wasn’t too hard. The action came in at just the right moment in order to save your mind from

HBO España Orders Up ‘Patria,’ an Original Series on the Basque Conflict (Exclusive)
Madrid — In the first confirmation of its production plans, HBO España has commissioned Alea Media to develop an original adaptation of Fernando Aramburu’s bestselling novel “Patria,” with Alea Media founder Aitor Gabilondo, one of Spain’s best-known showrunners, both writing and producing.
Confirmation of the project comes after months of speculation over HBO’s Spanish production plans. Last November, HBO España launched a standalone streaming service in Spain and hired Miguel Salvat, a highly respected former director of content at Canal Plus and of premium channels at Movistar, as its commissioning editor of original programming.
“Patria” studies the impact of the Basque conflict on ordinary people on either side of the divide, such as the widow of a man shot dead by the armed separatist group Eta who returns to her home village after the 2011 ceasefire, and the mother of an incarcerated terrorist. The novel, published last year, runs to 646 pages.

Poster of the Highest Grossing Movie, by year, Every year Since Jaws
Since the coming of Jaws every year has been graced with a box office hit amid the many flops. It doesn’t matter what people though of it, if it was considered a flop, a mess, or anything else, these movies were considered the top hits of the year and the best that Hollywood had to offer. Jaws of course rounds out the list to start with and is followed swiftly after by Rocky, which was a vaguely underappreciated film in its own time. Rocky didn’t gross anywhere near as much as Jaws and was outdone yet again the year after

Phaedra Parks is noticeably missing in the trailer for the new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta but, given what transpired in season nine, her absence is not that surprising. Sets of Nearly Identical Movies that Came Out at the Same Time
Ever notice how when one movie comes out there seem to be two or three that come out at the same time that have roughly the same idea? The twin movie phenomenon is very real and in fact happens a lot in Hollywood. Directors and producers see what works and then try to emulate it in their own way so as to grab a bit of the success that a blockbuster movie might enjoy. Sometimes it works, a lot of times it doesn’t. The blockbusters tend to take most of the attention and leave the other movies grasping for those

The Good Place is back, y’all. After what seems like ages, the surprise NBC hit has returned for a second season, building off of one of the biggest twists of the 2016-2017 television season. I would advise you to stop reading now if you’re looking to avoid spoilers. But, The Good Place’s first season finale turned the premise of the show on its head by revealing (again, last spoiler warning) that they were all actually in the Bad place, and that Michael was an engineer of torture rather than a designer for the good place. From its hour-long premiere, you’d be hard pressed

‘The Sinner’ Finale: Creator on the Masked Captor’s Identity and What Season 2 Could Look Like
[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from the season finale of “The Sinner.”]
“I know you did it for your son,” Cora Tannetti (Jessica Biel) tells the man who had imprisoned her for two months, during which he shot her up with heroin and obliterated her true memories. It’s a curiously generous statement for her to make, but it’s not the first time that “The Sinner” has found sympathy and common ground for people’s failings.
USA Network’s summer psychological thriller began with Cora stabbing Frankie Belmont (Eric Todd) to death seemingly without provocation during a day at the beach. It turns out that five years ago at a party, Frankie had tried and failed to revive Cora’s sickly sister Phoebe (Nadia Alexander) with whom he had been intimate. A song that was playing at the time of the tragic accident was the same song that triggered Cora to attack Frankie during that day at the beach.
