‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: The Show Limps out of 2017 With Kevin Hart at the Helm

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: The Show Limps out of 2017 With Kevin Hart at the Helm
It’s the last “Saturday Night Live” of 2017, and you’d think NBC’s perennial sketch show would go out with the bang. Getting Kevin Hart to host and the Foo Fighters as the musical guest is pretty much a case of busting out the big guns, after all.

Unfortunately, this episode of “Saturday Night Live” can barely be considered an extravaganza, and the holiday aspects of it aren’t even memorable or strong enough to use “it’s a holiday episode!” as an excuse.

Leslie Jones’ Omarosa Crashes ‘Saturday Night Live’ and Refuses to Leave Without a Fight
Saturday Night Live” had its fun with Omarosa Manigault Newman during the Kevin Hart-hosted Christmas episode, having cast member Leslie Jones play the former director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison in two different appearances throughout the night. The show’s point was hilariously clear: Omarosa isn’t going to leave the public spotlight without a fight.

Jones’ Omarosa first appeared in the opening night sketch, which featured Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump and Cecily Strong’s Melania hanging ornaments of Trump’s disgraced former staffers. Something was banging on the window outside the White House, and it turned out to be a very pissed off Omarosa.

TV Review: Fox’s ‘A Christmas Story Live!’ Brings Oscar & Tony Winners Benj Pasek And Justin Paul To TV Audience

Nothing says “Christmas Spirit” these days like the sight of a beaming, bespectacled tow-headed 9-year-old pointing his new rifle into the cold dark of night and pulling the trigger. Nothing, that is, unless it’s another vision, this one eye-poppingly aglitter, of a sexy, spangled schoolteacher-turned-hoofer sellin’ it, surrounded by a bevy of prepubescent girls in can-can regalia, also sellin’ it. Call me old fashioned, or politically correct or whatever you choose, but…

A Christmas Story Live: The Best, Worst and Weirdest Moments From Fox's Ambitious Musical — Plus, Grade It!
Just when you thought A Christmas Story couldn’t become more of a small-screen holiday institution, Fox got an idea.

Ralphie Parker’s timeless tale of childhood desperation and eye-endangerment entered the pantheon of live TV musicals on Sunday with a high-concept (and overall successful) adaptation of the Tony-nominated Broadway spectacle A Christmas Story: The Musical. Based on the 1983 film of the same name, it told the story you’ve seen a million times — only with more singing and less offensive scenes at Chinese restaurants.

Man’s “Christmas Story” Lego Set Could Become Official

If you have ever considered how some ideas get made into official sets put out by the company Lego, this is a story that is going to help you better understand it. While undeniably most of the sets that you are able to purchase in stores across the country are somehow officially licensed to one company or another, which in kind boosts their likelihood of being purchased, this is not always the case. In some rare instances, an act of pure imagination and determination on the part of a creative builder can peak the interest of the Lego Review Board
