Competition Will be Stiff for New Releases With 'Jumanji' Set to Remain #1

Competition Will be Stiff for New Releases With 'Jumanji' Set to Remain #1
This weekend sees Warner Bros.'s 12 Strong and STX's R-rated heist thriller Den of Thieves hitting theaters, both of which are targeting male audiences, which means they'll also have to contend with the NFL conference championship games this Sunday. Additionally, a couple of notable expansions are taking place this weekend along with Roadside's moderate release of Forever My Girl. That being said, all appear as if they'll be settling in behind last weekend's #1 and #2 films, as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and The Post are expected to hold on to those top two spots. Jumanji topped last weekend's box office after dropping just 24.5%, and this weekend it should continue to hold on rather well. While we're currently anticipating a drop around 32% and a fifth weekend around $19 million, don't be surprised if it hangs on a little better than that. The film should top $315 million domestically by end of day Sunday,

Dylan Farrow Details Sexual Assault Allegation Against Woody Allen in Emotional Interview
Dylan Farrow detailed her allegations of sexual assault at the hands of her father, Woody Allen, in a lengthy interview with Gayle King that aired on Thursday’s edition of “CBS This Morning.”

Farrow, 32, recounted her story of being touched by Allen, her adoptive father, in August 1992. She also said she experienced other incidents of inappropriate behavior with her father, including him asking her to come into bed with him when he was wearing only underwear. Allen has once again strongly denied the allegations.

Farrow said she decided to give her first TV interview on the alleged assault that occurred when she was 7 because of the groundswell of public support for victims of sexual harassment and abuse. She has called on actors to shun Allen and his films.

“It was very momentous for me to see this conversation finally carried into a public setting,” Farrow said of the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements. “Because I have

EuropaCorp Being Circled By Potential Buyers, Investors (Exclusive)
Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp is being circled by potential buyers and investors as it struggles to climb out from under a mountain of debt. Among the suitors, sources say, is business tycoon Tarak Ben Ammar, a shareholder in The Weinstein Co. and a board member of Vivendi.

Hit by the disappointing performance of last year’s “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,” EuropaCorp has directed its primary lender, JP Morgan, to find someone who can inject equity capital into the company, as well restructure and pay a portion of its debt. Several well-informed sources tell Variety that the company urgently needs to find a solid partner by March 30, which marks the end of its financial year. The company’s market capitalization fell to €57.4 million ($70.2 million) as of Thursday, while losses reached €119.9 million ($146.8 million) and its net debt skyrocketed to €230 million ($281.6 million) as of September.

JP Morgan currently holds EuropaCorp’s assets, including its valuable

'Super Troopers 2': Patrol Crosses Border in Wacky New Trailer
When the opening sequence of the new trailer for Super Troopers 2 involves Farva shooting and killing a bald eagle with a rifle and then expecting to win something for the deed, it's a good bet that the sequel will remain true to its original: jokes and characters are the focus over plot.

Still, the new clip provides some details to the film's storyline. Apparently, a French-Canadian town is found to be in American territory and so the Vermont state troopers are assigned to take over the existing Canadian station
