Ratings: ‘AMAs’ Match Last Year’s All-Time Low, Get Crushed by NFL Football

Breaking: Americans are still much more into football than pop music. Sunday’s “AMAs” tied last year’s all-time low rating among adults 18-49, but the ABC awards show was able to grow its overall audience by 10 percent year over year. It was nowhere near enough to tackle NBC’s primetime pigskin, however — not that anyone thought it would be. With a particularly strong “Sunday Night Football” game, NBC was first in ratings with a 5.1 rating/17 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 15.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. The network’s “Football Night in. »

Here’s Everything That’s Coming and Leaving Netflix in December

The year will soon come to a close — but first you need to make it on the other end of the holiday season unscathed. You can eschew some of the more traditional adult responsibilities (no one blames you for doing all your gift shopping online, or buying store-bought cookies for Santa) and curl up with Netflix, which — let’s be real — has been there for you all year, unlike that bearded fly-by-night guy in the red suit. Season 2 of the award-winning series “The Crown” is finally back on Dec. 8, and the nostalgia-play “Fuller House” is back with »

All 19 Pixar Movies Ranked, Worst to Best (Photos)

TheWrap’s film critic Alonso Duralde rates all the Pixar animation studio’s features: 19. Cars 2 (2011) “They should let people see the movie for free,” one pundit opined, “since Disney will make all their money back on the bedsheets.” Some of Pixar’s best movies are sequels, but this follow-up to an already inferior studio entry seemed like nothing but a craven bid for more merchandising money. The results were good for shareholders but middling for moviegoers. 18. Cars (2006) Never underestimate little boys and their love for automobiles. This brightly colored but dramatically flat tale is most enjoyed by a) male moviegoers. »

Disregard the Face: Pink Says Christina Aguilera ‘F—ing Killed It’ at AMAs

Shockingly, Twitter detectives have once again missed the mark. Christina Aguilera’s tribute to Whitney Houston at the American Music Awards — yes, those are still a thing — brought the house down on Sunday night, but many on the social platform were wondering why Pink looked so not-impressed during the performance. The cameras panned to the “Get the Party Started” singer a few minutes into XTina’s cover of “I Will Always Love You,” looking like she’d just taken a giant swig of sour milk. Considering that Pink and Aguilera had a decades-long “beef” dating back to their “Lady Marmalade” days (a staple. »

Paris Hilton Claims to Have Invented the Selfie and People Are Freaking

On Sunday, Paris Hilton claimed credit for inventing the selfie. The heiress and occasional media figure also gave an assist to her famous friend Britney Spears. “11 years ago today, Me & Britney invented the selfie!” Also Read: Paris Hilton Sells SodaStream in Hilarious April Fools' Prank (Video) 11 years ago today, Me & Britney invented the selfie! pic.twitter.com/1byOU5Gp8J — Paris Hilton (@ParisHilton) November 19, 2017 Quite the claim. Twitter, however, promptly did some fact checking, showing evidence of selfies going back 100 years. In fact, the first known camera selfie — then just known as the more banal self-portrait —  dates back to 1839. »

Watch Pink Defy Death to Perform ‘Beautiful Trauma’ for AMAs (Video)

Some artists would die for their craft — Pink risked exactly that to present “Beautiful Trauma” for Sunday’s AMAs. Repelling from the top of a skyscraper, the pop star and a handful of dancers performed while hanging off the side of the building. Their aerials and her vocals were pretty incredible given the situation — absolutely no one would have faulted Pink for lip-syncing this one. The whole thing resulted in an unforgettable American Music Awards moment, and some darn good advertising for the Jw Marriott — you know, especially since they all lived to accept the applause from (far) below. Fox Business Host Maria Bartiromo Goes on Twitter Blocking Spree After Disastrous Interview

On Friday, Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo bluntly declared that President Donald Trump is facing “no allegations” of sexual harassment. Pundits and media watchers widely mocked the segment with former Obama administration deputy Secretary of Labor Chris Lu, generally labeling it a disaster. Now Bartiromo is hitting back, blocking major media figures on Twitter who had the temerity to comment. Over the weekend, CNN’s “Reliable Sources” host Brian Stelter reported being blocked by Bartiromo after tweeting about the segment. Bartiromo also cut off her former Fox News colleague Gretchen Carlson, who has now become icon of the broader movement against workplace. »

The co-host of the popular MSNBC morning program said that if the media drumbeat surrounding sexual harassment continued, a reckoning with the former president was overdue and that covering up for him was part of how we ended up with Donald Trump in the White House. “ continues to flourish today and his wife ran for president even though these women who accused him were attacked in the media, were maligned or settled and that’s a different standard than we’re holding other people. »

I met Bronwen Hughes (director of “Forces of Nature,” “Harriet The Spy,” “Stander” as well as of some episodes of “The L Word” and “Breaking Bad”) on a video call, while she was in Atlanta shooting a TV series. The focus of our conversation was her latest movie, “The Journey Is the Destination,” now streaming on Netflix. The film recounts the true story of Dan Eldon (Ben Schnetzer), who was an incredible artist and a brave and socially active photographer who traveled the world. He died at only 22, in Somalia. However, it feels like he lived more than many other. »

Party Report: Kiana Ledé Slays Soho House (Photos)

It’s odd that a musician who has climbed above the noise with 50 million streams across YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music — objective metrics of unqualified success — is still on the verge of a bigger break, yet, that’s where Kiana Lede sits. The 20-year-old begins releasing a stream of original bluesy pop singles over the next few months, though she could own a stage at New Orleans’ Jazz Fest if it were tonight.
